Caitlyn Worner

Caitlyn was born and raised in Virginia Beach and has always had a love for the arts and creative expression. She earned a double major in Communications and Religious Studies from Virginia Wesleyan University and a Master's degree in Integrated Marketing from West Virginia University. Professionally, she now works in commercial strategy for a medical technology company after spending 12+ years in strategic marketing roles within the healthcare industry.

Outside of her career, she finds joy in writing poetry as a personal practice of reflection and healing. She first discovered The Muse Writers Center during a season when she needed that type of community and creative outlet, and it has remained close to her heart ever since.

Now serving on the Board of Directors and chairing the Development Committee, she is passionate about helping others discover the same sense of connection and renewal through writing. She believes creativity is a muscle within all of us, and The Muse provides a safe, encouraging space where anyone - regardless of experience and whether they identify as a “writer” or not - can learn to exercise it.
