Tuition Assistance Policy

The Muse Writers Center is committed to making creative writing accessible to everyone, regardless of financial circumstances. Thanks to the generous support of our community and the Dakota Anne Chacon Tuition Assistance Fund, we are proud to offer tuition assistance to those in need.

We ask all students who apply for assistance to contribute at least 5% of the class tuition, to ensure a meaningful commitment to attending the class or workshop.

To apply, please complete the Tuition Assistance Form below. A member of our team will contact you to discuss available options. All students receiving assistance are asked to join our volunteer list and support The Muse when they are able.

• 75% (I just need a little help)
• 50% (I can pay half of my tuition cost)
• 25% (I need a little more help but can afford a portion of my tuition)
• 10% (I unable to pay much but I do want to contibute)
• 5% (I only able to pay the minimum, but I do want to contibute)

All choices are acceptable answers. We ask all students who apply for assistance to contribute at least 5% of the class tuition, to ensure a meaningful commitment to attending the class or workshop. However, we understand that in some cases, even this may not be possible. If you are in extreme financial need and require 100% tuition assistance, please email a short statement of need to shawn@the-muse.org. Full tuition assistance is limited to two classes per student per semester.
