Thank You for considering sponsorship of Shakespeare in the Plot! Our Roaring '20s themed production of Romeo and Juliet will be coupled with the first ever Shakespeare festival in the Neon District. We are proud to breathe life into post-pandemic Norfolk and get our artists back to work. This promises to be an experience that will set the tone for our community for years to come.

About the Event

July 23, 24, and 25, Shakespeare in the PLOT will take over the NEON district with an interactive festival set in the Roaring 20’s. The centerpiece of this three-day event will be a theatrical production of Romeo and Juliet. Free and open to the public.

This will be the debut of LEO Productions in association with The Muse Writers Center, Push Comedy Theater, area colleges, and the NEON District. Romeo and Juliet will be directed by Deborah Wallace, co-directed by Brant Powell, produced by Bradford McMurran, Sean Devereaux, Anthony Stockard, Trey Clarkson, and Jen Weir Edwards.

All performances will take place July 23-25 in the multi-purpose outdoor arts space: The PLOT, located at 776 Granby Street, Norfolk, 23510. More information from the producers can be found at: shakespeareintheplot.com.
