Writing the Elegy

The elegy is a reflective poem, an expression of grief for those who have died. In this generative space, we will read contemporary poets and use prompts to write into our own sorrow, and we will explore other types of loss as well: language, a forgotten perfume, memory. And maybe, we can find other ways to imagine the elegy, one which is joyful, possibly, as well.
