In this humor writing seminar, you will learn how to form a strong comedic point of view in the style of McSweeney’s, Shouts and Murmurs, and other top short humor venues. This class will cover how to develop a generate ideas, how to punch up instead of down, and examine what makes writing funny. We’ll also explore venues that publish humor, review submission guidelines, and discuss internet presence.
