Story Pictures: Ekphrastic Poetry Suitable for Framing

Emulating the work of poet and visual artist, Diane Hanna, this course aims to engage tactile and visual senses to the writing process. In two Sunday sessions, participants will write prose poetry in response to images torn from magazines and journals; then, using layers of paper, pen, ink, and other textured sources, design a sturdy physical creation, Mod-podged and ready for display.

Please note: This class or event is in-person and will be held at our center.

Dates:
  • August 13
  • August 20
