Creative Writing for Beginners
Writing creatively is a dream for many, but it can be difficult to find the time, confidence, and inspiration to get started. This encouraging workshop will serve as an introduction to the three major genres of creative writing (fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction) and will guide you through generative writing exercises designed to promote creativity. You’ll also have the opportunity to share your work in gentle, encouraging feedback sessions. By the end of the workshop, you’ll walk away with drafts of stories, poems, and essays and the self-assurance to begin—or continue–your writing practice.
