In-Person, Online, & Hybrid Classes
- In In-person classes, everyone will meet at our physical center.
- Hybrid classes are where it's your choice whether to attend In-Person or through Zoom each class meeting. We have installed an excellent hybrid system to ensure both In-Person and Zoom students have the same great experience. The instructor will host the class in a physical Muse classroom.
- Online classes meet over Zoom; you can take them from anywhere.
What Should You Take Next?
In most of our genre areas, we have created a "#3" and "#2" class that comes in between the "#1" class-level and the workshop-level. If you don't see a higher-level class in your genre, then it's fine to move to the workshop-level. If you are already in the workshop-level, it's fine to stay with your teacher or explore other teachers or genres.

Passport to Ghent Pride
Join us for the second annual Passport to Ghent Pride scavenger hunt, organized by The Muse and Eleanor's Norfolk. Pick up your passport at The Muse or Eleanor's, then visit participating businesses around Ghent to collect stickers from each and learn about LGBTQIA+ history in Hampton Roads and beyond. Completed passports enter you into a raffle for a basket of great prizes.

What's a rainbow write-in, you ask? Well, it's just like a regular write-in, but more colorful! Join us every 3rd Tuesday in person at the Muse or online to spark your creativity and get some words on the page. Stay for the entire two hours or just stop in for 10 minutes; open to all--just come prepared to write. Please register in advance if you plan to attend via Zoom. Co-hosted by The Muse and Eleanor's Norfolk.

Please Note: This Month's Happy Hour is on the 4th Thursday, June 22 Join us as we meet in-person for our Third Thursday Writers Happy Hour, an informal get-together where area writers and Muse teachers, students, and friends enjoy conversation, camaraderie, and drinks. LTN Norfolk Playwright Collective is back with our Annual 48 Hour Play Festival June 23-25th in collaboration with The Muse. Teams of playwrights, directors, and actors are assigned a genre, a character, a prop, and a line of dialogue, and have 48 hours to create a short play/one act containing those elements. This year’s theme is Hero or Villain. Registration required.

757 Comic and Cartoon Creators is a community group for local artists, specifically those interested in creating comics and animation. Writers are welcome as well. Come in-person or join us via Zoom.

Are you a teen? Do you like writing? Then join us at The Muse for the Teen Writers Club! This casual meet-up is part social hangout and part writing.
