We have scheduled this session as a mostly online session; classes will be held using Zoom. We are hopeful that we will be able to add a few in-person classes as the session progresses in the spring, and perhaps even offer some hybrid classes. We appreciate your patience. We just want to ensure everyone's health and safety during the pandemic. To participate in online classes, students must have a stable internet connection with a computer or device with a webcam and microphone.

Are you looking for a little inspiration? Come on down (virtually), join us and Write Now! A talented and qualified Muse teacher will lead you through an easy, fun, and creative workshop full of writing prompts and creative sharing.

Message in a Bottle and The Muse: A Write Now! Workshop
Join The Muse for a family-friendly writing workshop centered around the Message in a Bottle exhibit at Nauticus. We will do a series of fun writing prompts in the exhibit space itself, using the messages on display to spark your creativity. After each prompt, there will be an opportunity to share what you’ve written. Stay for the whole time or just drop in for a prompt or two. The workshop is free to attend but you must purchase a ticket from Nauticus to enter the exhibit. Discounts are available for Muse students.

20/30 Writers Club
The 20/30 Writers Group is a monthly writing group for young adults. Each monthly meeting has a Question and Answer session with a guest writer. Join us as we improve our writing skills while building connections with each other. Free registration required. Hosted by Derek Spohn & Susan Deutsch.

Join The Muse Writers Center and York County Public Library online for a monthly free prompt-based writing class, Write Now! We believe that everyone has a story and everyone can write it. Join The Muse for this special Earth Day reading featuring poets Tyree Daye, Padmapani Perez, Diane Woodcock, and Claire Wahmanholm in conversation with Luisa A. Igloria, Poet Laureate of Virginia. Poets will read from their work and tackle questions of how, as poets/writers and community advocates, they address the linked themes of ecopoetry/climate crisis, mental health, community, and care. - The Muse Writers Center's physical space is open for people to write, meet others, and learn more about The Muse four days a week: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursday from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. See our Locations, Hours, & Directions page for more information.
- You must be vaccinated (those 12 and older) to enter The Muse's physical space. You are no longer required to wear a mask, though it is encouraged.
- The Muse has installed is installing an iWave-R air purification system that uses needlepoint bipolar ionization (NPBI) cold plasma technology to sanitize the air, killing viruses, bacteria, and mold.

During the Coronavirus in-person shutdown, the staff of The Muse Writers Center has been busy preparing for our eventual re-opening. We are re-organizing our library, assembling more comfortable furniture for our classrooms, and more.

All sponsorships are tax-deductible and all donors will be acknowledged with a thank you plaque on the item(s) or room(s) sponsored. Sponsorships can be made in honor of or in memory of someone special. Credit cards and checks are accepted. You can sponsor more than one item or room, and can split larger sponsorships into payments.
