Steven Blythe

Steven Blythe received his B.A. degree in Creative Writing and Philosophy from Georgia State University in 1998. His poetry has appeared in American Poets Abroad , The Blue Monday Review, Crab Creek Review, The Moth Magazine, Permafrost, The Poet’s Billow, Tulane Review, Tule Review and Wasafiri Magazine. He also served as the Contest Committee Chair for the Poetry Society of Virginia from 2017 to 2019. He received his MFA in Creative Writing with an emphasis in poetry from the University of Minneapolis in 2022 where he studied with Katheryn Neurnberger, Douglas Kearney and Peter Campion. Currently he resides in the neighborhood of Andersonville in Chicago, IL. He is taking courses in Theater at the University of Illinois, Chicago. He is an adjunct professor at Saint Xavier University, founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1846.
