Mia Casey is a 16 year old poet from Norfolk, Virginia! She lives with her family by the beach, and loves to draw inspiration for her poetry from the books she reads, historical events, and the people around her. Some of her favorite poets include Robert Frost, Edgar Allen Poe, and Emily Dickinson. Like Dickinson and Poe, she often enjoys personifying death in her works. She is a current member of the Muse Young Writers fellowship, and was selected last year as a Division One National Beta Club National Poetry Champion. Along with poetry, she enjoys spending time taking pictures, dancing, and watching football games with her family!
