Freddie Tavakoli

Freddie Tavakoli is a teen poet and member of the Muse Fellowship from Norfolk, Virginia. A student at Norfolk Academy, and also a Literacy Fellow within the school, through which they research local issues, especially regarding gentrification, and have contributed to publications, most recently a collection of poems and essays entitled Just a Phase, they spend their time on a variety of different interests, and enjoy letting these interests inspire a dynamic portfolio of poetry and prose. Recently, they also won a poetry competition among other Norfolk Academy students grades 10-12. They enjoy rowing after school in the Spring and stage managing for the Fall and Winter plays as well, while spending summers mostly off in the woods writing poems.
