Char Bah
Char is a nonfiction author. She has published an article in Encyclopedia Virginia on the Freedmen's Cemetery, two books, and an anthology. Her current book is “Alexandria’s Freedmen’s Cemetery: A Legacy of Freedom.” She is also a freelance writer for the Alexandria Gazette Newspaper for the City of Alexandria and is currently working on her third book.
Char has received many awards, including the 2020 Virginia Humanity Scholar and the 2019 Who’s Who in America, and she was recognized in 2014 as a lifetime Alexandria, VA, Living Legend.
