Tina Carey

Tina Carey is a dedicated poet, teacher, and mentor with a passion for using poetry as a tool for healing trauma. She teaches a transformative class called "From Wounds to Words" at The Muse Writers Center, where she creates a safe and supportive space for students to explore their emotions and express themselves through writing.

With a deep commitment to compassion, authenticity, and creativity, Tina draws on her extensive experience as a poet and educator to guide her students on their healing journeys. She is also the author of the book "Wounds to Words," and “UnMasked” which serves as a platform for survivors to share their stories and find solace in the power of words.

Tina's teaching approach is centered on creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where students feel empowered to embrace their vulnerabilities. She believes in the transformative power of storytelling and encourages her students to use poetry as a means of self-discovery and healing.

Her classes are designed to be interactive and supportive, fostering a sense of community and connection among participants.

In addition to her work in poetry, Tina is passionate about holistic wellness practices, including sound healing and oracle cards. She integrates these practices into her teaching, offering a holistic approach to healing that addresses the mind, body, and spirit. Tina is currently working on starting a non-profit organization dedicated to trauma healing, inspired by her own experiences and those of her daughter, Kayla.
