Sylvia Liu is a middle grade and picture book author. She has two forthcoming middle grade novels: Hana Hsu and the Ghost Crab Nation (Razorbill, 2022) and Manatee's Best Friend (Scholastic in 2021). Her picture book, A Morning With Grandpa, illustrated by Christina Forshay (Lee & Low Books 2016), won the Lee & Low New Voices Award. She is a contributing author to the picture book, Thanku: Poems of Gratitude, ed. Miranda Paul (Lerner 2019) and has a creative nonfiction memoir essay published in The Potomac Review (Spring 2018).
She co-founded the kid lit resource website, Kidlit411 (www.kidlit411.com), named by Writers Digest as one of the 101 Best Websites for Writers three years in a row and runs a companion Facebook group of over 11,000 writers and illustrators.
