Our Teachers

The Muse's instructors are all working writers and published authors who have taught courses at colleges, universities, and other community organizations. Read our teachers’ biographies and see what classes they are currently teaching.

Jessica Grace Kelley

Jessica Grace Kelley began writing novels after two years as a book blogger at allthewayya and lifegonewrite.com. She is an alumna of Author Mentor Match, and her manuscripts have won several awards and contests, including the YA Molly Award, the Emma Merritt Award, and First Place in the YA Authors.me Contest. She is represented by literary agent Christa Heschke at McIntosh and Otis and is currently working on her fourth fantasy novel.

When she’s not buried in books, Jessica serves as the Youth Program Director at The Muse Writers Center, where she oversees all youth programming, including classes, events, community partnerships, and the high school internship program. She especially enjoys working with teens and is the founding instructor of the Teen Writers Fellowship, where she continues to teach fiction and has mentored hundreds of young writers over the years.

Please reach out to jessica@the-muse.org with any questions about upcoming youth events or classes, or if you’d like to propose a youth event or partnership with The Muse.
