Al Markowitz

Al Markowitz is a local essayist, poet and publisher. His writing appears regularly in Veer Magazine. His poetry has been published in small press journals including Main Street Rag, Red Lantern, the Powhatan Review, Pemmican, Black Bear Review, and many others. He heads Partisan Press, a not-for-profit publisher of working class poetry and has edited and published the Blue Collar Review, Journal of Working Class Literature for over 19 years.
