Senior Editorial Internship Expectations & Agreement
We are contracting you to serve as the 2026 Senior Editorial Intern and Editor-in-Chief of The Muse Writers Center’s in-house teen literary zine, Musings. During the course of the internship, you will work within the Youth Program to oversee and help produce the 2026 edition of Musings while collaborating with staff and junior editorial team members.
Intern responsibilities include managing and collaborating with junior editorial partners, assisting with outreach and social media promotion, designing flyers and promotional materials, helping coordinate publication and launch planning for the zine, and completing a capstone presentation outlining your editorial vision, process, and outcomes.
This internship is anticipated to last approximately nine (9) weeks, with an expected workload of approximately fifteen (15) hours per week. Compensation for this contract position is $20 per hour, paid according to The Muse Writers Center’s regular contractor payment schedule following submission of approved timesheets or required payment documentation.
