Poetry Month Prompt #2
April 2:
Write a poem about the people who eat lunch in a school or hospital cafeteria. Consider the light, the temperature, if there are windows, and then look at the people after considering these. Again keep it fun.
From the Muse Collection: Frank O’Hara in Lunch Poems strolls through the noisy glare and pollution of a Manhattan noon, writes this collection with his characteristic breezy tone, and spontaneity to the happenings of the moment. The poems contain references or images to pop culture and literary figures, New York locations, and his friends. A common theme is the desire for personal connection, either the one on one connection of friends, or lovers, or with strangers, in tragedy.
