Poems For Our Living and Breathing
This April, join us for a two-part reading + open mic series in celebration of National Poetry Month, “Poems For Our Living and Breathing.”
Part 1 (April 11) will feature current officers of the Poetry Society of Virginia. Register to be included in the Zoom room HERE.
Part 2 (April 18) will feature poets from Old Dominion University’s English Department. Register to be included in the Zoom room HERE.
What is poetry’s role in civic engagement, and in the world at large? A collection of celebrated poets will read poems addressing this issue. Luisa A. Igloria (Poet Laureate of Virginia 2020-22) will host. This virtual event will be live on Zoom and a recording will be available on the Muse Facebook page.
There will be an open mic following each reading; slots are first come, first served. Sign up to participate in one of the open mics HERE.
