Looking Back, but Excited to Look Forward

2024 was a year spent planting the seeds for the future success of The Muse Writers Center. I am excited that in 2025, we will begin to reap the harvest from all our good work.

Over the past year, the board and staff at The Muse started an intense strategic planning process which will give us guidelines to follow for the next three years. We have identified many areas for nurturing and growth: our education programs, our outreach programs, our infrastructure, and much more.

We tried to make connections with new donors and supporters to ensure we have enough resources to continue to expand all our outreach programs that serve everyone from wounded veterans and youth in detention to patients at the cancer hospital and women in emergency shelters.

But what may be our most exciting project in 2024, we embarked on the creation of a whole new “back-end” system for the staff to keep track of everything we do, coupled with a brand new website. Coming in February, 2025, our new website will be faster, bug-free, and adaptive. Students will be able to see all the classes they have taken in the past, mark favorite teachers and get announcements of new classes they are teaching, and much more. It will also make paying for classes and donating much simpler and faster.

It’s not too late for you to join us and make a real impact in the lives of writers as well as everyone who finds healing through the creative power of words and expression by donating to The Muse before the year’s end.

You can make your tax-deductible gift to support a specific program (such as youth, military & veterans, seniors, those dealing with loss, grief and trauma) or become a member anytime today or throughout December and it will be counted toward our end of the year goal. Thank you, again!
