Writing Our People: A Family Memoir Workshop

This four-session workshop is for creative nonfiction writers with some experience who want to explore the complexities of writing about family. Participants will receive constructive feedback on their original work while wrestling with how to write about the ones close to us—neither pure angels nor demons, but fully realized and multidimensional. Through sharing drafts, guided discussions, and peer critique, writers will deepen their understanding of their family narratives and enhance their ability to write compelling, authentic prose. All members will have multiple opportunities to submit work for feedback during the sessions.

Please note: This class or event will be held online (using Zoom or a similar live platform). To participate, students or attendees should have a stable internet connection. Class participants: you should have a computer or device with a webcam and microphone; and your Zoom link will be automatically sent to you after you register.
