Writing for Change: Stories that Lift the Veil

The world doesn’t change because someone is told they’re wrong—it changes when someone becomes curious enough to see differently.

In this two-part workshop, you’ll learn how to craft socially conscious stories that provoke reflection, challenge assumptions, and stir compassion—without preaching or pushing an agenda. Through the lens of the 7 Veils of Ignorance and the 7 Essene Mirrors, we’ll explore how internal and external transformation unfolds not through judgment, but through awareness.

In Session 1, we’ll explore how powerful narratives address social issues by revealing the deeper beliefs and blind spots characters carry. You’ll learn how to center change in your story—not as something forced, but as something felt. Through craft discussion, story examples, and generative writing prompts, you’ll begin developing a piece that challenges both your character’s worldview—and maybe your reader’s, too.

In Session 2, we’ll workshop your scenes, essays, or narrative starts, focusing on emotional impact, depth, and resonance.
