Introduction to Dramatic Writing

Whether you want to write plays, film scripts or sketch comedy you need to know the basics of dramatic writing. Funny or tragic, anything written to be performed is considered “dramatic,” and the roots of the form go way back. Satisfying an audience isn’t easy, but there are tricks of the trade and good reasons why we laugh, cry and can’t wait for the next episode of a TV show. Learn the fundamentals. This class is lecture/ workshop, so bring your laptop or other writing materials and your curious mind… it will get a good workout!

Please note: This class or event will be held online (using Zoom or a similar live platform). To participate, students or attendees should have a stable internet connection.
