Visual Journaling: Summer Freedom (LIVE IN PERSON!)

Journaling is an intimate process of self awareness and discovery. The visual journal is unique because it contains part visual art elements and part words. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then visual journals are highly expressive tools for creative and non-creative folk alike. This class focuses on building upon your visual journaling, diary or art-making habits. This semester’s theme is “Freedom From…” Participants will receive a prompt each class, learn two art techniques (making sunrises/sets with pastels and creating textures with household materials), participate in a paper collage demo with artist Lucie Van der Elst, and receive artist lecture video clips. Participants will need to purchase their own supplies. A materials list will be sent by the teacher.

Please note: This class or event is in-person and will be held at our center.
