Tina Carey Book Launch and Q&A
Join The Muse Writers Center for a reading by longtime Muse student and host Tina Carey from her new chapbook, Wounds to Words. After the reading, there will be a Q&A and book signing. This event will be held in person at The Muse and copies of the book will be available for purchase. See the Muse’s current Covid-19 policies. For those who are not able to attend in person, there will be a live stream of the event on the Muse Facebook page or you may register in advance to watch live on Zoom.
About the book:
Wounds to Words is a collection of poetry that drives deep into mental health. It is an honest and powerful exploration of struggles, triumphs that come with learning to embrace yourself and your journey.
About the Author:
Tina Carey is a Mental Health Advocate, Podcaster, and Poet who scribbled her first verse when she was nine. Tina is originally from Knoxville, Tennessee and currently resides in Chesapeake, VA. She writes unfiltered about trauma, grief, and healing. Tina hopes to create a path for anyone who walks in their truth to stand on proudly. Tina has been published by The Voices Project, A ROOM OF HER OWN FOUNDATION, AntiherionChick, Poetic Pill Blog, Poetica Review, Silent Spark Press, December Mag, and others. Tina was featured in her first editorial addition of Yoni Circle in October 2021. She is a longtime student of The Muse Writers Center in Norfolk, VA.
