Teen Writers: Writing the Short Film

Learn what goes into writing movies by starting with a short! In this class, you will analyze films and the art of visual storytelling, drill down into Three Act Structure, and learn how to dramatize conflict and resolution. We will do in-class writing exercises and share our work for positive group feedback. You will finish the class with a better understanding of characterization, plotting and writing dialogue PLUS a script for a short film, between 3-10 pages long.

Please note: This class is an online class. To participate, students must have a stable internet connection with a computer or device with a webcam and microphone.

*Student’s parent or legal guardian must complete Student Release in order to participate in the class. Please review this document with your parent & have them sign & return to staff@the-muse.org.
