Surrealist Poetry

Andre Breton’s best answer to the question “What is your name?” was “Forty-Five Houses.” Now that NASA has discovered a whole universe that consists of little to no dark matter, it’s probably time to refocus on embracing commotion and uncertainty, surprise and anticipation. To invite the dead-end, then invent a way out on your own. Perplexity can be a miracle. From French Symbolism to South American leaping poems, we’ll span gender, sex, creed, culture, and end up in a better place. This workshop will walk away from meaning and instead explore unconscious and subconscious derivations. We’ll find peace in the complete unknown.

Please note: This class or event will be held online (using Zoom or a similar live platform). To participate, students or attendees should have a stable internet connection.
