Submitting Your Writing to Magazines, Journals, and Publishers

Are you too worried about rejection to submit your work for publication? Maybe you have submitted, but you’re unsure of the process. Or perhaps you’d just like to know how to get started with submissions. No matter the case, this session is for you!

We’ll explore many reasons why most work is rejected, and how to position yours for the best acceptance chances. From formatting to finding the right publications, from tracking your subs to keeping a positive attitude, we’ll dive deep into the basics of submissions–along with a few tips and tricks to help your writing get placed sooner than later.

Please note: This class or event is hybrid. Some attendees will be in-person and some will attend online. There may be a limited number of in-person seats available. If you are participating online (using Zoom or a similar live platform), students or attendees should have a stable internet connection. Class participants: you should have a computer or device with a webcam and microphone; and your Zoom link will be automatically sent to you after you register.
