Submitting to Agents and Query Workshop

Are you ready to pursue traditional publishing with a Big 4 or other publisher that requires agented submissions? In this workshop, author Sylvia Liu will walk you through the querying process (how to find agents in your genre using research tools like Publisher’s Marketplace, pitch contests, conferences, and more) and the elements of a successful query and opening first pages. Students will have the opportunity to share and critique each other’s queries (and opening pages, time permitting), and will hopefully leave the workshop with a polished query letter.

Please note: This class or event is hybrid. Some attendees will be in-person and some will attend online. There may be a limited number of in-person seats available. If you are participating online (using Zoom or a similar live platform), students or attendees should have a stable internet connection. Class participants: you should have a computer or device with a webcam and microphone; and your Zoom link will be automatically sent to you after you register. Check your spam box if you don't see it.
