Strengthening the Image: Writing Poems for Things That (Seem to) Have No Words
Some of the best poems are those that bring us in the presence of even those kinds of experiences that seem impossible to capture in language— and they do so by drawing on the remarkable ways in which images work to both ground and transport readers. In this workshop, we will read a curated selection of poems, write new poems (including ekphrasis), as well as revise works in progress that engage/in order to engage the power of image-making.
