Split Open: Women Writing Ourselves

Muriel Rukeyser once said, “What would happen if one woman told the truth about her life? The world would split open.” As women, we are taught to minimalize our needs, our wants, and our presence. This workshop is geared for you to take up space again. Open to anyone who identifies as a woman, as well as to writers of all levels and genres, students can hope to write and share through creative exercises, journal prompts, and readings.

Please note: This class is an online class. To participate, students must have a stable internet connection with a computer or device with a webcam and microphone.

The MuseTeacher: Amanda Gomez

Prerequisite: Open to: writers of all levels of expeience
