Speculative Fiction

Are you interested in writing stories that inhabit a world that’s not our own? Speculative fiction is an umbrella term for any work that doesn’t take place in the “real world,” including science fiction, fantasy, horror, myth retellings, and more. Through discussions, mentor texts, and creative writing exercises, we’ll explore the many facets of speculative fiction—and the many ways you can add a touch of otherworldliness to your writing!

Please note: This class or event will be held online (using Zoom or a similar live platform). To participate, students or attendees should have a stable internet connection.
