As an author, you’ll need an online presence where readers can find you. Whether you are already published and need to create an online portfolio, or you are just getting started, an author website will help you showcase your writing, credentials, and unique voice. Your website is a a central hub for potential readers, agents, and publishers. We’ll work through the step-by-step process of setting up a typical three-page author website on wordpress.com, and we will explore some of the additional features that WordPress offers. Students should plan to bring a laptop to class to complete in-class exercises.
