Sensitivity Reading 101

Is a character from your story a part of a marginalized group? Do you want to make sure that you are representing them in a sensitive and respectful way? In this course, we will go over the importance of reading for sensitivity of marginalized groups, how to read your own work for sensitivity and how to research what marginalized groups want in representation. In addition to learning about proper representation, you will have the opportunity for a free sensitivity reading consultation with the facilitator by bringing in a sample of your project to workshop.

Prerequisite: Open to: writers with some experience
