Tell Me About Love without Using the Word Love

Is a poem about love only ever about romance and relationship, heartbreak and desire? How does a love poem avoid the “cringe”? We’ll read and be guided by a range of exemplary poems (and poets, from Emily Dickinson to Ada Limon) embracing the many expansive, complex, and rewarding forms of thinking and writing about love. In this generative workshop, we will aim to write and revise love poems that feel fresh, new, real, and unforgettable.

Dates:
  • March 29
  • April 12
