Poetry through the Four Seasons
Weather has a reputation as the ultimate small talk topic. It’s so obvious and so changeable that it has become the thing we reach for when we have nothing else to say. But weather’s omnipresence and the constant fluctuations of the seasons also make for great places to start a poem. Our responses to the weather (whether we welcome it, fear it, begrudge it, or remember it fondly) often illuminate our inner worlds. And, if you choose to work with it, your local climate will throw you a new prompt every day. This generative workshop will have plenty of time for writing and sharing your own poems.
