Join us as we celebrate National Poetry Month, with an Opening Reception for the Poetry on the Pavement Exhibition.

The guest speaker at the reception is Luisa A. Igloria, Poet Laureate of Virginia and chair of the Poetry on the Pavement selection committee.

Everyone is invited to read your own poem, a favorite by someone else, or show another form of creative expression. Sign up in advance on the Sign Up Genius site. This event is free and open to the public.

Poetry on the Pavement showcases 25 select poems by authors who live, work, or attend school in Norfolk. These poems are painted throughout the city as part of a Norfolk Arts ongoing project. Images will be on display at the Offsite Gallery through May 13.
