Poetry Certificate Fast Track
This 6-session intensive course is designed for seasoned Muse students who have completed multiple poetry classes and are ready to earn their Poetry Genre Certificate. Combining the foundational, intermediate, and advanced elements of Poetry Levels 1, 2, and 3, this program provides a comprehensive exploration of poetry, perfect for those seeking to refresh their craft or enhance their credentials.
Participants will revisit key concepts such as imagery, voice, and line structure while delving into traditional and modern poetic forms, including sonnets, haibun, villanelles, and found poetry. The course will also emphasize advanced revision techniques, workshops, and the professional aspects of poetry, including querying, publication, and public readings.
Graduates of this course will be celebrated at The Muse’s graduation reading and reception, where they’ll have the opportunity to share their work and connect with the poetry community. Whether you’re reigniting your creative spark or advancing toward professional goals, this course is the perfect step toward poetic mastery.
This course is designed for experienced Muse students who have completed multiple classes in a specific genre and are prepared to advance toward their Genre Certificate. Enrollment is contingent upon instructor approval to ensure participants have the foundational skills necessary to benefit fully from this intensive program.
