Poetry 2: Exploring Poetic Forms

You’ve gotten your “License to Lineate” in Poetry 1 and now you’re ready to take your skills on the open road. It’s time to test drive a few tried and true models and see where they take you. In Poetry 2, we’ll make use of forms such as the Abecedarian, the Blackout, the Cento, the Golden Shovel, (and others) sharing them in a supportive workshop setting. You may find yourself writing poems you hadn’t thought were in you when you allow yourself to climb into a form and hit the open highway. No limits posted.

Please note: This class or event is hybrid. Some attendees will be in-person and some will attend online. There may be a limited number of in-person seats available. If you are participating online (using Zoom or a similar live platform), students or attendees should have a stable internet connection. Class participants: you should have a computer or device with a webcam and microphone; and your Zoom link will be automatically sent to you after you register. Check your spam box if you don't see it.
