Plot Twists and Tarot: Using Archetypes and Intuition to Help Shape Your Story
Stories thrive on conflict, transformation, and surprise—and so does tarot.In this creative, craft-meets-intuition workshop, we’ll use tarot not to predict the future, but to unlock the unexpected. Each card in the tarot deck holds powerful symbolism that reflects emotional truth, hidden conflict, and potential shifts—exactly what compelling stories are made of.
Through guided exercises, group discussion, and hands-on card work, you’ll learn how to use tarot to generate plot twists, deepen character arcs, and uncover layers of meaning in your story you didn’t know were there.
Whether you’re stuck on a draft, crafting new characters, or just curious about how symbolism can support story, this class will show you how to tap into your creative subconscious and surprise yourself on the page.
Please note: This class or event is hybrid. Some attendees will be in-person and some will attend online. There may be a limited number of in-person seats available. If you are participating online (using Zoom or a similar live platform), students or attendees should have a stable internet connection.
