Playwriting Crash Course: What You Need to Know to Write and Submit a Short Play

The Muse Writers Center is excited to partner with The Little Theatre of Norfolk in seeking new or published works by local artists. In this special FREE seminar learn the very basics of what is needed to write a short play. Award winning playwright, Jean Klein, will lay out the basic “rules” of writing a short play. Looking for new playwrights or experienced playwrights looking for a refresher or wanting to dust off an old play, screenwriters searching for other avenues to present their work, and all curious writers. Little Theatre of Norfolk and The Muse Writers Center are seeking new or published works by local artist.

Plays must be between 15- 20 minutes with a maximum of 5 characters. Selected material may receive a staged reading hosted by Little Theatre of Norfolk. Please submit no later than June 21st.
