Passport to Ghent Pride!

It’s back! Welcome to the second annual Passport to Ghent Pride scavenger hunt, organized by The Muse Writers Center and Eleanor’s Norfolk.

Stop by The Muse or Eleanor’s during their respective open hours beginning June 17th to pick up your passport, then visit participating businesses around Ghent anytime between June 17th-24th to collect stickers from each and learn about LGBTQIA+ history in Hampton Roads and beyond.

Bring your completed passport to either Eleanor’s or The Muse by June 24th to enter the raffle for a basket of Ghent goodies; every 7 stickers gets you 1 raffle ticket. The prize includes a SAY GAY candle from Norfolk Candle, a voucher for a free seminar from The Muse, and gift cards to Eleanor’s, Yorgo’s, Local Heroes and more. Additional raffle tickets will be available for purchase, with all proceeds going to the LGBT Life Center, a wonderful local organization that supports and provides essential services for the LGBTQIA+ community in Norfolk and all of Hampton Roads.

When: June 17th-24th, 2022

Passport pickup begins at 11 AM Thursday, June 17th at Eleanor’s Norfolk or The Muse Writers Center. The final deadline to drop off your passport at either location is 4 PM Saturday, June 24th; the raffle will take place the following week. You may pick up and drop off your passport anytime during the week of the event.

Where: Businesses all throughout Ghent! Simply go inside participating stores and restaurants and tell them you are participating in the Passport to Ghent Pride event.

Please note, passport pick up and drop off are only available from Eleanor’s Norfolk (806 Baldwin Ave #1) and The Muse Writers Center (2200 Colonial Ave #3), so you will start and finish at either of those places. You do not necessarily have to return your passport to the same place you picked it up; for example, if you got your passport from Eleanor’s you are welcome to turn it in at The Muse, and vice versa.

Please note: This class or event is in-person. Currently, you do not have to show proof of vaccination to attend events or visit our center. Please read all our re-opening guidelines and important information before you visit.
