Nothing Special: Behind the Scenes and Between the Lines
On the surface, the Booklist starred selection, Nothing Special, is a buddy story between a boy and his grandfather. But neither the story nor the art is that simple. Join author Desiree Cooper and fabrication artist Bec Slone as they tell how the Great Migration, respect for family tradition, and a passion for using repurposed textiles combined to create a magical story that leaps from the pages.
Join us live at the Muse Writers Center or watch the livestream live on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/TheMuseWritersCenter
Questions will be taken from the virtual via comment.
