Navigating the World of Literary Journals and Magazines

Between traditional print journals and online magazines, writers seeking publication have more opportunities and choices than ever—but sometimes this can feel like a bewildering maze of uncertainty or an unfair lottery. This class will include a lecture covering the basics of journal submits (where and how to find good-fit opportunities, cover letters, spreadsheets) and a workshop to guide you in developing a journal-submit strategy that reflects your goals and values—so that you can send your work into the world with clarity and confidence.

Please note: This class or event will be held online (using Zoom or a similar live platform). To participate, students or attendees should have a stable internet connection. Class participants: you should have a computer or device with a webcam and microphone; and your Zoom link will be automatically sent to you after you register. Check your spam box if you don't see it.
