Morning Memoir Intensive: Four Days to Shape Your Story

Everyone has a story worth telling. In this four-day memoir intensive, writers will dive deep into the craft of personal storytelling through a mix of generative writing exercises, targeted discussions, inspiring readings, and supportive feedback. Designed for those with some experience in memoir or personal narrative, this class offers the tools and space to refine your voice, deepen your narrative insight, and experiment with literary techniques that bring memory to life.

Each session will focus on a core element of memoir—voice, structure, meaning, and emotional resonance—guiding you from raw memory to crafted story. You’ll learn to identify the moments that matter and shape them into vivid, compelling scenes. With guidance from notable memoir examples and feedback from your peers and instructor, you’ll leave with new material, sharpened skills, and a clearer sense of how to move forward with your personal writing projects.

Please note: This class or event will be held online (using Zoom or a similar live platform). To participate, students or attendees should have a stable internet connection. Class participants: you should have a computer or device with a webcam and microphone; and your Zoom link will be automatically sent to you after you register.
