Memoir, Magical Art, and Mental Well-being

What are the brief moments that make us who we are? Magical art returns us to a time of uninhibited childhood creativity, a time before we censored ourselves or allowed others to tell us what was good or bad about our art creations. Memoir writing is particularly suited for an exploration of a moment, particularly a moment that seems small, insignificant, and even wildly meaningful, but, when viewed from the right perspective, with the right attention, reveals itself to be central to our identities. Using simple, low-skill mixed media art activities to inspire writing, we will create art and short memoir and share that which sheds light on our well-being.

An additional $35 supply fee is required to take this course.

As of 10/7/22, if you are a Hampton Roads local, then you must pick up your box from The Muse by 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11. If you are out of town, then you will need to pay an additional $30 for express postage.)
