Letting Grief Speak: Writing Portals for Life After Loss

Diane Zinna is the author of the new craft book, Letting Grief Speak, out July 21 from Columbia University Press. In this gentle class, Diane will introduce three foundational ideas for writing about grief. She’ll offer inventive forms that work especially well for writing our hardest stories, whether we are writing from our “wounds” or our “scars.” Each participant will leave with the starts of five pieces of writing and ideas for how to continue. There is nothing you need to prepare in advance—come as you are.

Please note: This class or event will be held online (using Zoom or a similar live platform). To participate, students or attendees should have a stable internet connection. Class participants: you should have a computer or device with a webcam and microphone; and your Zoom link will be automatically sent to you after you register. Check your spam box if you don't see it.
