Energizing Your Story with Images and Detail

In this course, we will review how details and imagery can energize a story. Often, description can be nonessential exposition, here we will analyze how to avoid this common trap. This class will be collaborative, with a mix of close-readings and in-class exercises. Together we will determine what separates good detail from great. Students who sign up for this course have the option to submit up to 15 pages of prose for feedback.

Please note: This class is an online class. To participate, students must have a stable internet connection with a computer or device with a webcam and microphone.
