Heaven Assure, Shoulders High in the Room

In this poetry workshop, we’ll find forms of happiness in different life situations. Specifically, we will study excitement, grief and reconciliation, inspiration and creativity, and contentedness. Poets we will study include, among others: Keats, Sappho, Milton, Agha Shahid Ali, James Wright, Nazim Hikmet, Antonio Machado, Derek Walcott, William Blake, Yeats, Sylvia Plath, Gwendolyn Brooks, Peter Campion, Horace, David Ferry and William Wordsworth. Join us.

Please note: This class or event is hybrid. Some attendees will be in-person and some will attend online. There may be a limited number of in-person seats available. If you are participating online (using Zoom or a similar live platform), students or attendees should have a stable internet connection.
